Celebrity Big Brother 2015 kicks off on Wednesday January 7. Below, we’ve listed some of the stars rumoured to be appearing on this year’s show. And to remind you of some of the stellar talent from previous years, here’s our gallery of previous Celebrity Big Brother winners.
Who? Professional darts player who was withdrawn from this year’s PDC World Championship due to “personal reasons”. It has been reported that Burnett is struggling with drug abuse. This has not been confirmed, however. Burnett won the BDO World Darts Championship in 1995.
Who? Nineties singer who had two top ten singles in 1997. In 2013, the 37-year-old formed the supergroup 5th Story with Dane Bowers, Gareth Gates, Kenzie and Adam Rickett. Kavana has also appeared in various theatre productions. He is friends with former Spice Girl and current X Factor judge Mel B.
Previous TV appearances: In 2001, Kavana appeared in the MTV series Undressed and in 2006, he gained a regular role in E4’s Hollyoaks: In the City. In 2013, he auditioned for BBC One singing contest The Voice, but failed to make it past the first stage of the competition.
Who? Runner-up in the eighth series of The X Factor. In 2013, the 26-year-old appeared in a UK tour of the musical Hairspray.
Previous TV appearances: N/A
Who? Lead singer of Nineties pop band East 17. In 1994, East 17 released Stay Another Day, which topped the UK singles chart for five weeks.
Previous TV apperances: Appeared on the 2004 series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!.
Who? An actress and former EastEnders star, known for her struggles with cocaine addiction. Westbrook successfully kicked the habit, but recently admitted to relapsing. She is reportedly homeless, and currently living in sheltered accommodation.
Previous TV appearances: After leaving EastEnders in 1993, Westbrook went on to star in ITV’s Frank Stubbs Promotes. More recently, she had a role in Hollyoaks, between 2012 and 2013. In terms of reality TV, she took part in I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here in 2003, but quit the show before being voted off, and appeared on Dancing on Ice in 2010.
Who? A former contestant on the BBC’s The Apprentice, who went on to achieve fame for her outlandish opinions, and become a general media hate figure. Rumoured to have been offered a record-breaking fee to appear on the show.
Previous TV appearances: Hopkins participated in season three of The Apprentice in 2006, and in ITV’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2007. She has also made various guest appearances on shows including 8 Out of 10 Cats, Loose Women, and This Morning, and appeared as a panellist on Channel 5’s The Big Benefits Row: Live.
Who? A fashion model turned reality TV personality, known for being the son of footballer George Best.
Previous TV appearances: Best has appeared on a number of reality TV shows, including ITV’s Celebrity Love Island, E4’s Fool Around With, Sky One’s The Match, Channel 5’s Come Dine With Me and MTV’s Totally Calum Best (which followed Best as he attempted to remain celibate for fifty days).
Who? An American actor, known for playing Hobie Buchannon (the son of David Hasselhoff’s character) on the television show Baywatch, and for his troubled personal life.
Previous TV appearances: After leaving Baywatch due to his spiralling drug addiction, Hobie was arrested in a methamphetamine raid, and spent a long time in rehab. Since recovering, the actor has appeared as himself on a number of documentaries and reality television shows, including Confessions of a Teen Idol – a show that followed former teen stars attempting to find their way back into the limelight.
Who? A model and X Factor 2014 contestant, whose full name is Chloe-Jasmine Whichello. She made it to the live finals, and became known for her “posh” mannerisms and accent, before being voted off in week two.
Previous TV appearances: Prior to her appearance on the 2014 show, Whichello auditioned for X Factor in 2006, receiving three “nos” from the judges. She also appeared on the Sky Living modelling show The Face in 2013.
Who? A Cheryl Cole lookalike, model and reality TV contestant.
Previous TV appearances: Starred in the MTV reality show Ex on The Beach, and acted as a body double for Cole in some of the singer’s L’Oreal television adverts.
Who? An American singer and radio host television host, known for her role as a presenter on the US reality series RuPaul’s Drag Race, a competition that aims to discover “America’s next drag superstar”. Visage was also a member of the Nineties dance-pop trio Seduction, and provided lead vocals for The SOUL SYSTEM, the group behind the 1992 Bill Withers rap cover It’s Gonna Be A Lovely Day.
Previous TV appearances: As well as hosting several radio shows and RuPaul’s Drag Race, Visage has previously appeared alongside drag Queen RuPaul as a co-host on his celebrity talk-show The RuPaul show, and acted as a presenter on various celebrity television programmes, including VH1’s red carpet coverage of the 1998 Grammys and the 2002 Grease 25th-anniversary re-release party.
Who? A US showbiz blogger, known for his grip on insider celebrity gossip, his controversial “outing” of gay celebrities, and his high profile falling out with singer Lady Gaga. His real name is Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr.
Previous TV appearances: Hilton’s numerous TV roles include his own reality show, What Perez Sez, an appearance on the weight-loss show Flab To Fab, and a stint as a contestant on MTV’s Celebrity Rap Superstar. Perez also created and presented a four-part ITV2 series, Perez Hilton Superfan, in 2011, and has guest starred as himself in various sitcoms, as well as co-hosting the 2008 MTV Europe Music Awards.
Who? A film and television producer, and the husband of former Spice Girl and X Factor judge Melanie Brown (Mel B). He was recently embroiled in domestic violence claims, which both he and Brown have denied.
Previous TV appearances: Belafonte appeared on the US version of Strictly Come Dancing, Dancing with The Stars, and as a guest judge on the Australian X Factor in 2011.
Who? An actress, and the estranged sister of Mel B. The estrangement has been attributed to Brown’s dislike of her sister’s husband, Stephen Belafonte (who is also rumoured to be appearing on the show).
Previous TV (and film) appearances: Played a character named Kylie James in the BBC drama Paradise Heights in 2002, and a dancer in the 2001 film Moulin Rouge! In 2011, she made a guest appearance on Big Brother’s companion show, Big Brother’s Bit on the Side.
Who? A 72-year-old American actress, who became famous for playing Krystle Carrington on the US soap opera Dynasty between 1981 and 1989. Rumoured to have signed a £500,000 contract to appear on Celebrity Big Brother.
Previous TV appearances: Aside from Dynasty, Evans’s numerous TV and film roles include playing Audra Barkley in the Sixties Western series The Big Valley, and appearing in the Eighties series Love Boat. After Dynasty came to an end, Evans announced her semi-retirement from acting. She has since appeared as herself in a number of documentaries, and participated in the 2009 series of the ITV celebrity cooking show Hell’s Kitchen (which she went on to win).
Who? A television presenter and actor, possibly best known for his work as a presenter on Channel Four’s Nineties morning show, Big Breakfast.
Previous TV (and film) appearances: Chegwin began his career as an actor: notable roles including playing Fleance in Roman Polanski’s Macbeth, and appearing on Seventies television shows including Z-cars and The Liver Birds. Big Breakfast aside, his presenting credits include Eighties shows such as Multi-Coloured Swap Shop and Cheggers Plays Pop, well as a stint in 2000 presenting Channel 5’s nudist game show Naked Jungle (a move Chegwin later described as the biggest mistake of his life).
Who? A US reality TV star, known for being the ex-partner of the fashion designer Mark Jacobs
Previous TV appearances: Armacost previously appeared on The A-List, an American reality TV show which followed the lives of six young gay and bisexual men in New York City.
Who? A singer who shot to fame after appearing on The X Factor in 2012 and 2014. He reached the live shows in 2014, but was eliminated in week three.
Previous TV appearances: After appearing on 2014’s X Factor, Quickenden went on to enter the jungle as a contestant on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, eventually becoming the series runner up.
Who? An aspiring glamour model, who shot to fame after the NHS funded her £4,800 breast enlargement operation. Further headline-grabbing exploits included selling tickets to the birth of her daughter (an offer Cunningham later retracted), and tweeting about how she had mistakenly informed the wrong man he was the baby’s father.
Previous TV appearances: Cunningham was asked to appear on Big Brother in 2014, but had to turn the opportunity down due to the fact that she was pregnant. After publicly announcing her intention to undergo an abortion, she decided to go ahead with the pregnancy instead.
The Wealdstone Raider
Who? A football fan and supporter of Wealdstone FC, who became a YouTube sensation after a video of him heckling fans from a rival club went viral. His real name is Gordon Hill.
Previous TV appearances? Hill has appeared on Channel 4’s Rude Tube, and as a guest on Sky Sport’s PDC World Darts Championship.
Who? A Puerto Rica-born glamour model, and the former fiancée of The Only Way Is Essex’s Kirk Norcross. Known for her extensive tattoos.
